I love coffee. I love my new moka pot.

Bialetti Moka Pot

Coffee might not quite be an obsession for me. Or maybe it is. My wife and I have a metal French press, a glass Bodum French press, two Aeropresses, multiple grinders, and shelves of tins and bags full of beans and grounds.

On a recent trip to Seville, Spain, the AirBnB we stayed at had a moka pot. I was skeptical, and also, a little intimidated. As it turns out, it’s incredibly simple to use, has a nice analog charm, and brews a great pot of espresso.

As soon as we got home, I grabbed one.

If you dig coffee, pick one up. Like the Aeropress, it’s pretty hard to screw up. It’s become a necessary and fun tool in our caffeination arsenal.
